2018 Menghai Jinya "Golden Tips" shou (ripe) pu-erh
Sweet, thick and silky!
These lovely ripe cakes were produced as a special order for Jun Pin Hao tea house in Yunnan. The leaves were harvested already Spring 2010, after which they were fermented in piles for 45-60 days and allowed to mature for years before compressing into cakes in 2018. "Jin ya" means "golden buds", the name refers to the plentiful small golden compressed buds that give a distinct sweet, uplifting character for the tea.
