Genmaicha is an exciting green tea with popped brown rice originating in Japan. Back in the days, the working class people started mixing their tea with rice to conserve tea so to be able to drink tea daily. Today, however, this recipe is enjoyed specialists and newcomers alike, especially by those who wish to drink green tea but also limit their caffeine intake.
