Aged Zhangxiang Tuocha
1990's wild-growth ripe puerh from Menghai
We love these sort of simple, unadorned looking mystery teas - large 500 gram bird nest shaped (tuo cha) wrapped in an anonymous gray paper, quite loosely and robustly compressed. We got this tea at some point from a passionate puerh collector. It is from the 1990s from wild growth tea trees originating most likely from Menghai area, smaller leaves and buds and the tea is quite developed for its age. These sort of teas are often systematized by taste profile - this one is "zhangxiang", that is camphor aroma. The tea is woody, smooth, dark and rich. We recommend to drink this tea meditatively!
