Lapsang Souchong, organic
A tea that you love or hate!
It is a very distinctive tea with an exotic smoky flavor. It’s a very assertive tea and appeals to those looking for a bold cup of tea. Its taste is of the ‘love it or hate it’ variety; it has its rabid fans and others who won’t touch the stuff. The name Lapsang Souchong originates from the early 19th century; before that it was referred to as Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong, named after a nearby mountain. In those days, many of the black and oolong teas shared a woody, smoked quality due simply to the wood-fired woks used to heat the tea leaves as well as the houses.
