Sencha Haru, Japanese green tea, ÖKO

Sencha Haru is a lovely and refreshing lightly steamed sencha tea from Kanoya area in Kagoshima, South-Japan. The leaves were harvested on the 3rd week of April from unshaded Yabukita cultivar bushes. The Yabukita cultivar is the benchmark in contemporary Japanese tea market in terms of quality and over 3/4 of all green tea made in Japan is Yabukita - so it indeed is a very classical Japanese flavour. Nice amount of umami, asparagus, slightly nutty flavour reminding one of almonds. Certified EU organic.
