Japanese Banko kyusu tea pot, 270ml

Japanese side-handled tea pot made from Banko clay. Banko is a well-known clay coming from Mie prefecture that has been used for tea for the last 300 years. Compared to the famed Tokoname clay, Banko is less porous and therefore has less of a rounding effect on the flavour. The pot holds 270ml. Inside the pot there's a circular mesh filter designed to keep the fine leaves of Japanese green tea from clogging the spout. Great workhorse of a pot!
