Sencha Soo, Japanese green tea, organic

A refreshing lightly steamed sencha tea from Kagoshima, South-Japan. The tea was machine harvested in end of April a week before the regular harvest, akin to the very early harvest shincha teas. It's a blend of leaves from Yabukita and Sae Midori cultivar bushes. The steaming was done in asamushi style very quickly and the same applies to the final heating (hi re). The resulting tea is thus light-bodied and aromatic. It has a pleasant faintly tangible bitter taste on the tongue. EU certified organic.
