The leaves for this ripe puerh tea cake were harvested, processed and fermented in Menghai in 2010 from arbor style tea garden where the plants are allowed to grow wild. It was stored loose leaf until being compressed in 2019. The tea was fermented not fully but at medium level, leaving some space for the tea to develop over the years - and indeed it has. The flavour is clear, smooth and complex, with hints of camphor and the beloved "old tea flavour". For this tea cake, medium and larger leaves were selected. Yields many steepings.
Brewing tips: 5 g / 200ml / 100C / rinse, 1st steeping 1 min, 2nd steeping 1 min, 3rd steeping 2 min etc.
