These fun-looking 9 gram tea "leaves" are a great little gift for a friend - break it in half or use the whole for the tea pot. This compressed ripe (shou) puerh was made in Pu'Er area (formerly known as Simao) in Yunnan, China. The leaves were harvested throughout the whole of early spring up until late September at altitude around 1400 meters above sea level in regular style tea plantation. The flavour is simple and earthy, sweet, slightly spicy and a bit astringent. More intense and energetic in character.
Brewing suggestions: half of the leaf per 200ml of 100C water. Rinse the tea. 1st steeping 1min, 2nd steeping 2min, 3rd steeping 2min etc. Alternatively use the whole leaf and make very short steepings, or use it in a larger pot.
