Assam Belseri CTC black tea, organic

For millions of people the name "Assam" stands for black tea. This tea comes from one of the rainiest areas on the planet; from Northern India, nestled between the towering Himalayas and the tropical Bay of Bengal. Teas from this area produce an orange-red brew and have a robust, strong earthy flavour and are rich in tannins. These Assam leaves are from the second flush, have been picked in summer and are therefore especially strong while also maintaining a certain delicate elegance behind their brute force. Harvested between March to November 200 meters above sea level. EU organic.
