A true delight for the senses!

Smooth and sweet darker (more heavily oxidized) rolled oolong with hints of cinnamon and sweet plum. This tea is special for two reasons. Firstly, it is an autumn pluck which we often enjoy even more due to the composed, slightly calmer character. Secondly, and more importantly, it is skilfully charcoal roasted in the following winter after the harvest. Charcoal roasting is less often done these days as the market prefers the taste of lighter oolongs which are easier to produce, whereas roasting is an extra expense demanding skill and patience. The tea was machine harvested in Mingjian, Taiwan and produced according to Taiwanese organic regulations. Si Ji Chun varietal.
