Lu Mountain, yesheng wild-growth green tea
Wild-growth green tea with an unvarnished character...This is a long-awaited high quality green tea for us this year, rolled into small delicate coil shapes, handpicked from a wild tea garden in the Lu mountain area in Jiangxi, East-China where the plants are grown from seeds and are genetically diverse. This results in a tea with a more lively, vibrant feeling and longer lasting aftertaste, but is more difficult for the farmer to manage as different bushes sprout at different times and the tea varies more from season to season. Compared to our "Wild Hunan Green", this 'yecha', wild tea is more full-bodied, there's just the right amount of bitter touch when brewed for longer and a little bit of astringency while maintaining its smooth texture. It's perhaps somewhat less elegant, but has a lovely unvarnished character to the tea.
Brewing tips: 3 grams of tea per 200ml of 80C water, 1st steeping 1min, 2nd steeping 1-2min, 3rd steeping 2-3min.
